🐔 Butter chicken Ingredients:


Marinate Chicken for Best Flavor:


  • 500 gm boneless chicken (cut into cubes)
  • 1/2 cup thick curd
  • 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice



Prepare Rich Butter Chicken Gravy:


  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 2-3 green cardamoms
  • 1-inch cinnamon stick
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 2 cups tomato puree (fresh or canned)
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric
  • 1 tsp Kashmiri red chili powder (for color)
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/2 tsp sugar (optional)
  • 1/4 cup fresh cream
  • 1 tsp kasuri methi (dry fenugreek leaves)
  • 1 tbsp butter (for garnish)
  • Fresh coriander (for garnish)

🔥 How to make butter chicken 


Step 1: Marinate the Chicken

Ek large bowl mein chicken aur saare marination ke ingredients mix karo. Chicken ko dhak kar thodi der thanda hone do fridge mein — tabhi masale andar tak apna jaadu dikhayenge. Best flavor ke liye overnight rakhna perfect hota hai.


Step 2: Cook the Chicken

Ek pan mein 1 tbsp oil garam karo. Marinated chicken ko medium flame par golden hone tak pakao. 80% tak cook karlo — baaki gravy mein ho jaayega. Side mein rakh do.


Step 3: Prepare the Gravy

Ab ek heavy bottom pan mein butter aur thoda sa oil garam karo. Sabut masale (bay leaf, elaichi, cinnamon) daalo. Phir chopped onion daal kar golden brown hone tak bhuno.


Ginger-garlic paste daal kar 1 minute bhuno. Ab tomato puree daal do. Thoda salt, haldi, laal mirch powder, dhania powder daal kar 10-12 minute tak medium flame par gravy cook karo — jab tak oil separate na ho jaye.


Step 4: Add Chicken & Finish Gravy

Cooked chicken pieces daal do. Mix karo aur 5–7 min aur pakne do. “Ab fresh cream daaliye, haathon se kasuri methi ko crush karke chhidak dijiye, aur upar se ek chammach makhan aur mila dijiye. Gravy ko aur rich banana chahte ho? Toh thoda doodh mila kar dekho — taste bhi enhance hoga aur texture ekdum soft ho jaayega.

Step 5: Serve with Love

Garam-garam butter chicken ko naan, butter roti ya jeera rice ke saath serve karo. Upar se thoda sa cream aur hara dhaniya garnish karo.
